Philanthropy

We have teamed up with MA22 and named them our National Charity. Throughout the year, we will be collecting donations in an effort to help raise awareness and get funding to Veterans in need. Please read below to learn more about MA22 and their mission.

MA22 works to raise awareness to the veteran suicide epidemic that is plaguing our country, and educate the public on PTS and other mental health issues. MA22 also partners with other organizations nationwide to be able to provide a variety of programs and resources for veterans and first responders. These programs include traditional and non-traditional forms of therapy for both mental and physical health, with the primary focus being suicide prevention through empowerment.

MA22 is not a crisis intervention resource, and we strongly suggest that in the event of an emergency, you should always call EMS or the police. If you ever find yourself in this position, here are a few suggestions that may help facilitate clear communications:
In the event of an emergency:
Call 911 (EMS/police) and if possible, request an on-duty veteran be sent to speak with the veteran in need
They’ll need critical information from you: address of where the individual is, vehicle type and color (license plate number is helpful if you have it), and/or their last known location
Contact the veteran’s family if you have this information*
Contact the veteran’s unit or command if you have this information*
*if you do not have this information – DO NOT take it upon yourself to insert yourself into the situation, please let trained authorities handle it
In the event of a non-emergency:
Have the veteran or a family member call MA22 for resources at 732-684-1314 or email [email protected]
Important notes about using social media:
If you are seeking resources or are reaching out on the behalf of a veteran, it’s always best to designate ONE POINT OF CONTACT to take the lead in these communications.
Also, please do not excessively share “missing” or “in-need” posts outside of the individual’s region – unfortunately this is how information gets miscommunicated and often leads to headaches and frustration for the veteran and/or their families.
Email [email protected] if you’re unsure of how to handle a non-emergency situation.
